Protein OD
I'm officially off eggs of any sort for at least a week, after last night's gross miscalculation at Golden Gate. 1 out of the 4 heads at the table doesn't take eggs, so that left the 3 of us, with the other 2 sharing a measly 7 quail eggs between them while I had to polish off the other 13. My bad for ordering the large plate, since I didn't know large consisted of 20 eggs! Topped that up with a chicken egg at the end of the steamboat...even mentioning the word 'egg' now makes my stomach churn.

egg!egg!egg!egg!egg!egg!egg!egg!*puke*egg!egg!

Managed to get conned by iobs into sms-ing LoyalHeart for some vital statistics. Socky! Weather still puts a damper on the spirits, but its well worth the drop in the mercury.

Barfday Wishes
An atrocious display of colour coordination to commemorate the Kokster's 26th Anniversary of being alive (also a tribute to his green-yellow-red blog).

HAPPY
BIRTHDAY
KOK!!!

Isn't it time, old friend, to be the number 1 pool player in Subang Jaya? Have a great year man :)

Outage
Hmm Tenaga screwed up (yet again) and the power we have in the entire office block is comparable with Iraq's.

Had a really gluttonious weekend, and it'll be a fruit and vege diet this entire month :( S3 has come up with its DirectX9 video card plans, and that'll add to the current duopoly of nVidia and ATi, although nVid seems to be screwing up lately. Ah well, no dough to upgrade the computer, winning UT2K3 at next year's WCG is nigh unprobable (hello Whir!), so that means no Doom 3. Whatever!!!1!

At least the Internet connection is still up, but damn, its getting hot in here!

Fall comes after pride
Wow, after reading Jennifer's blog, I could not help myself but laugh. To think that I was that arrogant last time (and maybe now, but since Quake 3 didn't make it to WCG this year, we'll never know). I did alot of thrash talking amongst friends, but deep down inside I also knew that I could never usurp the likes of Whir - doomed to remain the 2nd best Quaker in Malaysia (according to polls, but polls definately do not reflect real life performance...trust me on this!)

Jennifer wasn't short on confidence though, she did the same amount of pre-match psyche up conference thingy, but she seriously believed she could have won it as well. Unfortunately, she didn't win it, ending up 1 position short of a podium finish. She did give Pesky a thrashing though...but that's a good thing since Pesky can now concentrate on Real LifeĀ® instead of running around virtual maps and making a pest of himself. Anyone remember the bald scientist in Half-Life multiplayer, popping out of unexpected places and taking a snipe at your ass with the crossbow? Yeah, that would be Pesky for you.

Met Keigo sitting at 1-Stop on Saturday evening. He looked the same, nothing changed. We exchanged the usual greetings (Hi-Bye-What are you doing now-What, you've retired from CS?) and parted ways. Headed off to some Taiwanese place with Mel, YK, n Vince. Had a satisfying meal, left for Evangel to look for a book but it was sold out. Checked out some DVDs, and left for Island to watch Pirates (yes, I'm still game for the 3rd time...any takers?) but the cinemas were fully booked. The 4 of us ended up at Dome downstairs, and the conversation made there was heavier than our dinner.

Weather's been wonky lately, but I hope it rains heavily now so that I will not need to wash my car :)
The Hard Way
Woke up to the disappointing news that my protege, Pesky (who's in his early twenties, so go get him, girls!) has fallen in the preliminaries of Age of Mythology in this year's World Cyber Games Challenge.

How could that have happened? I guess Pesky is going to take the hard way and purchase his new 'puter upgrades using resources from his deep pockets instead of winning first place. Ah well, all in all a top 10 finish is still commendable ;)

My week is shattered by this devastating report. To think I looked up to him with such pride! Neways, life goes on.

Lunchies Munchies
Had a palatable lunch with Loyal and Miss Cryptic Super Unbreakable Password. Loyal and I had super-super-super spicy Gerikaki (sp?) Ramen, in which the portion came in a bowl so big, they gave a senduk as a spoon. Miss C.S.U.P. had some Bento set, which she couldn't finish, so Loyal and I unashamedly dug in while I picked at the lil pieces of fried dough. When the bill came, we got a pleasant surprise as Miss C.S.U.P. offered to foot the bill, refusing to accept our generous offers on our share.

I wasn't full yet, so when they left for the bus station, I sneaked to the Danish bakery and purchased an egg sandwich to go down with some hot coffee. Ahhhh *bliss* Will call Faye later to see if she and her knight are game for Pirates tonight...man, I love that show! :)!
Wild boars, hot hunks, and crabs
Zipped off from the office at 5.30pm yesterday, and headed to the salon to cut off the clumped tendrils located just above my temple. Made my way to the coffeeshop just before Greenhouse, as Joe's (of Passions of Kerala fame) sister opened a stall selling delectable finger food - just thinking of the wild boar meat, flower crabs, and succulent juicy prawns covered with thick Keralese gravy makes me salivate. Dipping the Bengali bread and washing it down with doles of curry was just excellent.

Of course, I had the honour of having that meal with YK n Melissa, Loyal, Niobe, and Steph. Niobe looked very much different ! :)! I remember I was backing my car up against Loyal's at the T-junction, and when I saw a hot chiq in my rear view mirror my judgement went awry and I hit the kerb instead, and she laughed at me from inside Loyal's car. After wiping off the embarrassment from my face and correcting my awkward parking position, I realised that girl was Niobe (it hit me then that my mirror had lied to me about the reflection of a hot chiq) and it was nice to see a familiar , 'bochap' merajuky face around :)!

Loyal and his posse had to make a quick move as they were making preparations to entertain Penangnites with their outrageous antics at Lush later. I declined as there was still much to do at home, and I needed to catch up on my sleep. Am hoping to meet up with Loyal (and gang) to do the Japanese thing during lunch today.

Something Anonymous
Well I guess this blog has ended up as another hot-hot chicken shit thing :) Talk about a lack of interest and dedication from me. Loyal's in town, and we're prolly going to meet up sometime this week over a cuppa caffeine and rehash old news. Past 2 weeks in the ghetto had been fun.

iob sent me a merajuk sms on Sunday night, and I thought I was in a deep hole since all I could offer her was words ;) Anyways everything turned out all right the next day so la-dee-da.

I miss tower defending with the rest of the gang in 15...next time someone should just burn a CD of custom maps (TD or otherwise) so that we can tower our brains out :)

Didn't get to see Pesky before I left since he was busy retreating at a church retreat (to make him a better person! :P!).

I spent Sunday night at Vincent's...was too lazy/tired to drive all the way back and unload 4 bags of stinky laundry. Snoozed away the moment my head hit the pillow. Went out for dinner with YK, Melissa, and Vincent last night. Vincent did his rounds at various Proton showrooms in Pg after work yesterday...he's planning to gun for a PFS number plate in support of his alma mater.

It didn't stop raining in Penang since 4am Monday morning till 9pm....saw a couple of accidents on the way back home, and there was an uprooted treant wannabe halfway back. Managed to steer clear of those obstacles, made it back home and cleared the essential items.

Going to sleep was great...too bad there's work this morning. Ah well. I find this entire blogging thing rather taxing on the discipline and brain...and I realised that spinning entertaining yarns and the occasional perplexing poem can be done, but its just not me. Time seems to pass by so slowly here, I wonder why. Could it be that I'm not having any fun? ;) Will go accompany a Princess Tyrande lookalike defend the Tree of Life later this week...the joys of single player Tower Defense (bleargh) :D!
